Mio Explora K70: Neues Navi-Handy

Mio Technology, ein auf Navigationsgeräte spezialisiertes Unternehmen, stellte auf der CeBIT das Mio Explora K70 vor. Als Betriebssystem nutzt der Hersteller Microsofts Windows Mobile 6.1. Die Navigations-Software “Mio Spirit” wird direkt vom Hersteller beigesteuert; GPS ist für die Navigation natürlich mit an Bord. Welches Kartenmaterial mitgeliefert wird, ist noch nicht bekannt. “Mio Spirit” wurde vom Hersteller so konzipiert, dass der Nutzer seine Lieblingsorte per Sprachbefehl speichern und steuern kann.
Bluetooth, HSDPA und HSUPA sowie WLAN sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Die 3-Megapixel-Kamera mit Autofokus lässt sich unter anderem dafür nutzen, via A-GPS Geotagging zu nutzen. Auf einem Display von 3,5 Zoll mit 400 x 240 Bildpunkten lässt sich die Route, die man navigieren möchte, verfolgen. Insgesamt findet das Navigations-Handy auf 115 x 62 x 12 Millimetern Platz und wiegt 115 Gramm.
Wann das Smartphone auf den deutschen Markt kommt und welche Preisvorstellungen Mio Technology dafür hat, ist noch nicht bekannt. Die Navigationssoftware “Mio Spirit” soll den Markt im zweiten Quartal 2009 erreichen; vermutlich ist dann auch mit dem Explora K70 zu rechnen.
