Nautiz X5: Robustes Outdoor-Handy von Handheld Europe

Auf der CeBIT wurde ein Handy von den Schweden von Handheld Europe vorgestellt: Das Nautiz X5. Während Outdoor-Handys sich normalerweise auf die Grundfunktionen eines Handys beschränken, soll dieses Gerät durchaus gut ausgestattet sein; der Hersteller meint, das Handy sei “Packed with performance”. Es beginnt beim Gehäuse, das mit Gummi umrandet wurde, um es vor Stößen und Stürzen zu schützen; eine Höhe von 1,80 Metern soll das Gerät überleben. Spritzwasser, Staub und Temperaturen zwischen -25 bis 70 Grad Celsius sollen kein Problem sein; Luftfeuchtigkeit bis zu 90 Prozent ebenso wenig.
410 Gramm und Maße von 160 x 80 x 35,5 Millimetern lassen das Nautiz X5 eindeutig aus dem Rahmen aktueller Standards fallen. Handheld Europe nutzt Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 als Betriebssystem und der Akku mit 4.400 mAh lässt auf lange Laufzeiten hoffen. Das 3,5-Zoll-TFT-Display bildet 480 x 640 Pixel ab und lässt eine virtuelle QWERTY-Tastatur zum Vorschein kommen, die sich alternativ zur physischen nutzen lässt. Datenverbindungen sind mittels Bluetooth, WLAN, GSM, UMTS/HSDPA und EDGE möglich. Mit an Bord ist GPS und eine 3-Megapixel-Kamera inklusive Autofokus.
Ob und wann das Nautiz X5 hierzulande zu haben sein wird und welchen Preis Handheld Europe dafür verlangen will, ist noch nicht bekannt.
